You will not receive unemployment benefits for your first seven days of unemployment unless you have already served this waiting period with the benefit year. You can receive unemployment benefits for each remaining day of unemployment after your waiting period. You will only serve one waiting period in a period of continued unemployment. Continued unemployment means that the time in which you file claims has five or more valid days of unemployment and the claim begins within 15 days after the previous claim.
